Hello beautiful, my name is Hanna and I am the owner and founder of Le Rêve Makeup & Hair LLC. I am a crazy cat lady, chocolate-loving, perfectionist with big dreams.
My team and I have a passion for all things wedding and beauty. My team and I provide professional makeup and hair services on-site for our beautiful brides! We come right to you and will provide relaxing and luxury services. Rêve is French for “Dream”, Le Rêve means “The Dream.” I was a young girl with a dream to move to the “big city” and aspire to be a makeup artist. That little girl grew up moved to Chicago, IL. and the rest is history. Le Rêve Makeup & Hair became an LLC. in 2014 while living in Chicago, IL. Every day it is a reminder that I’m living my dream, it makes me work harder, longer and better.
We specialize in bridal makeup and hair. Although we provide makeup and hair for all types of events and special occasions, we love our brides and spend every weekend of the year making dreams come true on wedding days. We believe in providing natural makeup looks. We want to highlight your natural and beautiful features. We do not believe in covering up your features. Everyone is beautifully and wonderfully made and we want to show the world your beauty. We are a team of dreamers and we want to make your wedding day makeup and hair dreams come true.
Should I book a professional makeup and/or hairstylist for my wedding day?
Yes! Can you say, “stress-free day?!” Our brides will not have to worry about running behind in their schedule or if everyone is ready on time. That is our job! We make a timeline based on your needs. We are a very organized company. We will make sure everyone in the wedding party has a copy of the timeline. We know exactly how much time is needed for each bridal party member, we will talk to your wedding planner and photographer. All you have to do is show up! How nice is that? When it is your turn, sit down, have a drink and relax!
You Deserve It! You will spend a ton of money on all aspects of your wedding day. Why would you not hire the best for your hair and makeup? Everyone will be looking at you, all the ladies at the wedding will be looking at your dress, your hair, your makeup, shoes, jewelry, that’s what “us” girls do. You will be looking at your wedding day images and/or video for the rest of your life. Your kids’ kids will see them. Don’t you want to look your best? Yes, you might already be great at your hair and makeup but do you specialize in makeup for photography? Do you understand how the camera can affect the look of your makeup in images? Do you understand makeup for HD? Do you know the difference your makeup or hair will have in sunlight, natural light or yellow light? Leave it to the professional to make sure you look great on that day and in the pictures that will last a lifetime.
When should I book my makeup and/or hair stylist for my wedding day?
We believe you should book your beauty team at least 9 months in advance. We are booking weddings a year in advance!
Should I have a makeup and/or hair trial for my wedding day?
Absolutely, 100% yes! Professional Advice is our number one reason! We have had our hands in all hair types and on all skin types. I have felt dry hair, oily hair, short hair, long hair, thin hair, thick hair, all hair! The same goes for skin. I have seen and felt all types of skin, skin with acne, oily skin, dry skin, flaky skin, mature skin, young skin, all types!
My team and I have seen it all, which means we know how to handle anything that comes our way. We can feel your skin at a trial run and know at that moment what is wrong. We give you advice on how to treat your skin. We can help you prepare your skin for your wedding day. We can give you a nightly routine to change your skin for the biggest day of your life. Your hair is brittle, falling out, no worries, we can suggest products, deep conditioners, ideas to bring your hair’s health back before the wedding day. You have thin hair that doesn’t hold curl well, we can give you advice on products, extensions, hairstyles that best suit your hair needs. We are going to make sure the hair and makeup match the dress, the theme of the wedding and highlights your best features. Having a trial will also make the wedding day less stressful for the artist and the bride! Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life. It can be hard to make a final decision on your makeup and hair look. Having a trial will help you understand and see how these desired styles will look. A lot of brides change their mind at the trial or after because what we see on the internet doesn’t mean it is best for our features.
Tips for our beautiful brides
- Your makeup can only look as good as your skin! Skincare should be high on your list for your wedding day.
- Always moisturize your face! It does not matter if you have oily skin or dry skin, moisturizer is key to healthy, glowing skin! There are many different brands and types of moisturizers that will fit your needs. If your skin is oily they have moisturizers that work for that! Our skin needs hydration, your makeup can only look as good as your skin! My go-to moisturizer is by my favorite skin care company, Embryolisse.
- Dry cracked lips have never looked pretty. Why take good care of your face and forget about your lips? Lipstick will not look as smooth or have lasting effects on cracked lips! Our lips need moisture also! Every night before bed I go through my night time routine of skin care. The very last thing I do before I go to sleep is put on lip balm! Then, my lips are getting treatment while I sleep and my lipstick will look flawless during the day.
- If you are like me, you might have dry and brittle hair. My hair is always craving moisture. A hair mask is great for all hair types. A hair mask will strengthen hair, help heal damaged hair, provide shine, softness and help control split ends and frizz. There are so many brands that offer hair masks. Find one that fits your needs. It is so easy to do as well. I like to mask my hair while in the shower. After I shampoo, I place a mask in my hair and I leave it in for at least 10 minutes. The amount of time depends on the mask. Follow your mask instructions. Shave your legs or relax while your mask sits in your hair. Then, in just a short amount of time you are healing your hair, creating softness and adding shine to your hair!
- Sex A Peel Instant Exfoliation Spray is the secret to perfect skin! If you do not exfoliate your skin at least once a week, you are making a mistake. We need to rid our skin of dead skin cells, not just our face, our whole body! Our skin will look healthy and younger if we exfoliate. As we age, we do not lose our dead skin cells as frequently. As our dead skin cells begin to build up, we are causing clogged pores and excess oil. Our skin will look dry and rough. By exfoliating, you will remove the dead skin cells allowing new cells to appear, making your skin healthy, younger and glowing.
