Why I Love Wedding Details

The Pieces Of Your Love Legacy

“Details create the bigger picture”

The first thing that I photograph on a wedding day is all of your wedding details. I give my brides one piece of homework for their entire wedding and what I call, wedding day homework. In your wedding day homework, I have you collect all of your details, to have in one spot, so on your wedding day, I can start right in capturing all of the pieces that make up your love story. I believe it is important to capture all of the big and small pieces of your big day! From the venue to the dress, to even the earrings, it is all important.

The saying goes, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.” A lot of times the something borrowed has a special family significance and that is always so precious. I feel like that is one of the most important details to capture. There’s so much history to your love legacy. I want to make sure that your details help tell the story of you and your husband-to-be.

Also, you took a lot of time, thought, money, and energy into planning your wedding day. I want to make sure all of your efforts are remembered so you can relive your day with all of your friends and family.

When it comes down to photographing these details, I love to take my time and capture each item to it’s fullest. I love to style, design, and create a story with your family heirlooms and wedding pretties. From intricately setting up your rings to styling your invitation suite, each detail is carefully photographed. One of my favorite things to photograph is your wedding rings. Not only are they so pretty, but for me, it symbolizes your unity and love. I love to capture this as this symbolizes the vows you made on the first day of your marriage. And for me, that is why I love weddings! I can’t wait to capture all your details and help to tell your love story.
