Summer Wedding at the OSU Faculty Club

“There’s no magic in magic, it’s all in the details.” – Walt Disney
This couldn’t be more true for Sarah and John’s fairytale wedding at the Ohio State Faculty Club in Columbus, Ohio. The details of their wedding day not only made their day special but truly magical.
Sarah and John have a LOVE for everything Disney. These two got engaged at Disney World so it only felt fitting to have a Disney themed wedding! After all, what is more magical?! To celebrate their engagement the couple purchased a mickey mouse cake topper for their wedding day!
John handcrafted his wedding band out of a solid cylinder of titanium. Sarah’s bracelet that was given to her by her Dad was the inspiration for John as he designed her engagement ring! And just wait until you see these wedding bands, they are absolutely gorgeous! It’s so special that their wedding bands not only represent the commitment they are making to one another but also they carry a legacy of love.
Sarah and John’s wedding day was absolutely perfect. Sarah was a vision wearing a sweetheart neckline ball gown. The bodice was covered in delicate florals and tied with a satin ribbon separating the top from the skirt. The finishing touch was a two-tiered veil. It was stunning and Sarah was truly something out of a fairytale!
The ceremony was held outside under a gorgeous floral arch. Sarah walked down the aisle to Beauty and the Beast and in front of close family and friends, these two tied the knot! The colorful bridal bouquets had snapdragons in them in honor of Sarah’s beloved grandparents. Everything was truly magical.
One of my favorite parts of Sarah and John’s reception was their cake cutting! They had pictures of their family members before them cutting their cake on their wedding days. The cake was also made by John’s mother. It contained fresh strawberries from the local farm where John and his brother used to play growing up. How sweet is that?! The gum paste flowers were also handcrafted by the ladies before the wedding!
The rest of the evening was spent dancing and celebrating this newlywed couple. The weather had been slightly overcast all day, but just in time for sunset, the sunlight came out! We got the most magical golden hour pictures and it was the perfect ending to a perfect wedding day!
Congratulations to Sarah and John on your marriage! Wishing you all the love and happiness! I hope you have a magical honeymoon back where it all began, in Disney!
