Our First Date

Our First Date

The Story Of Us

A few days after we first met, Musa invited me to watch the Ravens vs. Patriots playoff game at The Goat in Dublin. If you’ve never been to The Goat, it’s a pretty neat place. It’s a bar and grill that has corn hole and volleyball! It’s a pretty neat atmosphere that’s not too bar like. And, if you do go their Devil on Goatback Pizza is AMAZING.

Anyways, Musa is a die-hard fan of the Baltimore Ravens and I am a huge New York Giants fan! This was going to be a fun game because I do not like the Ravens. When he called me to ask me on this date, he said he had a spare Ravens jersey I could borrow. I told him NO WAY, I have a Giants jersey that I will be wearing. At that moment, Musa knew he wanted to marry me. Such a boy right?!

Musa picked me up from my apartment and we went to The Goat. It felt so nice to be picked up on a date. Musa was raised by good parents that taught him to open doors, call a person (yes on the phone), and pick up your date! Still, to this day, I can’t remember the last time I opened my car door. Sometimes, when I have to run an errand by myself I wonder why the car door isn’t opening, LOL!

We talked through the ENTIRE game. Musa didn’t look up at the screens once which is so crazy when I look back on it. It was the playoffs with his favorite team!! But he was falling in love! We had so much fun watching the game together and it was just something I’ll never forget.

It just felt different with Musa. I’d dated other people before, but with him, it just felt so natural and as cheesy as it sounds, meant to be! The funniest part about our relationship is who said “I love you” first. Stay tuned for our next post on those three little words.
