Preparing For Baby Musayev

Ekkkk I still can’t believe we have a little one on the way. It has been so much fun picking out baby items for our registry and of course, planning the nursery. Musa and I kept our spare room empty in hopes for a little baby to fill it! The only thing I have in the nursery are these adorable white sheer curtains!

My vision for the nursey is to be soft neutrals of white and greys! I want it to flow with the rest of the house yet still be a sweet baby’s room! I also wanted neutrals because God-willing we want more children. So this way, I can reuse the majority of the baby items!!

It has been so much fun picking out nursery furniture. I found a neutral grey and ivory rug that still has some woven texture. I can also through over a fluffy rug if needed. That way it is easy to clean and still cute! For the crib, I just wanted a traditional crib! Since our house is small, I didn’t want anything bulky. This also can convert into a toddler bed so we can maximize the use of it!

A rocking chair was super important to me since most of the newborn phase will be spent in this rocker! I found a super comfy rocker to fit the order! To keep the Johanna Gaines theme going in our house, I added a natural woven footrest for the rocking chair and a simple nightstand. I want to find an industrial lamp, later on, to sit here!

I really wanted a dresser instead of a changing table. This way it has storage and can be used for a longer period of time. Our house has limited storage so every piece of furniture needs to serve a purpose! I think this dresser will be great for storing lots of baby items!

The finishing touches are bookshelves on the wall and possibly a green plant! I’m still up in the air about these accessories but at least I have a good Pinterest styled board for my nursery inspiration! I don’t have a set theme for the nursery but I fell in love with this little lamb mobile. Partly because of this sweet peanut being the lamb of God and the other part because I have two herding dogs. Now they have another little sheep to herd! I can’t wait to start making this vision become a reality later this fall!
