Melanie & Keith

Wedding At The Kelton House

Columbus, Ohio

When I first arrived on Melanie and Keith’s wedding day, the weather just wasn’t cooperating. It was pouring outside! Melanie chose The Kelton House for the gorgeous gardens but a little rain wouldn’t damper this sweet couple’s day.

Melanie was such a radiant bride and wore a stunning, classic gown. The back was so pretty, with thin crossed straps and the bottom was flowy and whimsical. The Kelton House was the perfect venue for this romantic vintage wedding. Melanie and Keith were such a fun couple to work with! When I told Melanie I brought clear bubble umbrellas, she was so excited to venture outside! Afterall, dancing in the rain is so romantic!! Right?!

The soft rain created a romantic haze. It was so pretty and something out of a Jane Austen novel. The Kelton house gardens are absolutely stunning. It reminded me of a little girl when I was obsessed with The Secret Garden. It was a manicured oasis hidden in the heart of our city.

Melanie and Keith had their first look in the gardens. The trees formed a canopy that was the perfect place for a first look. Melanie presented Keith with a “best day ever” tie clip and it was the finishing touch to his groom wear attire. After the sweetest first look, it was time for Melanie to walk down the aisle.

The most intimate wedding in front of close family and friends took place in The Kelton’s ballroom with a huge window overlooking the gardens. And as if in a movie, the rain cleared up after the ceremony, just in time for bride and groom portraits. It was meant to be! We had so much fun exploring the old-timey gardens and celebrating this newlywed couple.

My favorite part of the reception was when all the girls danced and sang to Whitney Houston’s “I Want To Dance With Somebody.” It was so fun and something I will never forget! Congratulations to Melanie and Keith on your marriage! Wishing you all the love and happiness! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day!
