Wedding At The Clay Center & Sunrise Museum
Charleston, West Virginia
The bridesmaids gathered around. It was time for the big reveal, to finally see Meghan in her wedding dress. The anticipation filled the room as we waited for her to walk through the doors. Meghan was an absolute vision. She wore an elegant handkerchief styled dress that was the perfect A-line gown. This classic elegance reminded me of our most recent royal wedding with Meghan Markle! When her bridesmaids saw Meghan, all of the girls gasped in awe. It was such a sweet moment shared before this bride-to-be walked down the aisle.
Then Meghan’s sister placed her stunning cathedral veil in her hair. This veil was the perfect finishing touch for this bride. Her veil was her sisters and embellished with lace from her mother’s wedding gown. As Meghan walked down the aisle she was carrying with her the loving legacy of the women in her family. What a family heirloom!
After a beautiful ceremony and fun bubble exit from the church, we took the trolley up to the Sunrise Museum. This historic estate overlooked the city of Charleston, West Virginia. It was breathtaking and the perfect place for portraits!
The reception was held at The Clay Center downtown. The natural light gold accents and tall candlesticks reminded me of Beauty and The Beast. It truly was something out of a fairytale! One of my favorite moments was Meghan and Colin’s first dance. It was so intimate and so special. During their first dance, it truly sank in that they were married. These two, with so much love and respect for one another, shared the sweetest dance as husband and wife. And to make it even more romantic, when Meghan shed a tear, Colin was right there to wipe her tears. So romantic!!
The rest of the evening was spent celebrating this newlywed couple. Congratulations to Meghan and Colin on your marriage! Wishing you all the love and happiness.
