Making Cute Icons For Your Highlights
Hi, Friends! I hope you’re having a fantastic day today! The cute little Instagram icons for the highlight stories have been going viral! I wanted to walk you through how to make them, don’t’ worry, they’re so easy to make! I used Canva.com. The first step is to go to Canva.com and make an account. Next, select “layouts” and pick any layout. We will just be using this as a blank canvas so it doesn’t matter which one you select.
Next go in and delete all of the elements of the layout you selected. The delete button is in the top right corner of the page. We are creating a blank template to work with.
After you deleted all of the elements, you can go and change the background color to anything you want!
Once changed to your desired color, go to the “search” tab and search for an icon. I searched “pets” for this example. There are free icons and icons you can pay for! Then drag the icon over to your layout.
Go to the left of the screen and change the color of your icon.
The final step is to download your highlight icon and add them to your Instagram story!! To make more icons just copy that layout and remove the icon to add another! It’s that simple! You can add text to the top or bottom of them if you’d like. I added text so when you see it on the highlight, it tells you the category. But that’s definitely personal preference!
