Living Room Inspiration

Our Musayev Cottage

Est. 2018

I am SO excited to start decorating our new home in Nashville, Tennessee! I’ve been picking our furniture and am loving every minute of this dreaming process. The first room I’ve started to put together some inspiration on is our living room. Our living room is a bright and airy space with original hardwood floors and big windows. I’m so excited for all of the natural light we will have in this space. It is an open concept to the kitchen and will be SO nice to have this homey space.

I am obsessed with the rug I picked out. It is the Power Loom Aiken area rug and the colors are ivory and silver. It is so romantic and antiquey. I originally was planning on putting this rug in our bedroom but I love it so much I want to be able to see it all the time. So the living room it is!

The next piece I am in love with is our couch! With two dogs, it was so important that we found a couch that was pet-friendly. This Nirvana couch from Article was the perfect fit for us. I’m usually not a leather couch lover but I really like this couch. Our past couches were a light linen and blue jeans on a linen couch are just so frustrating. I’m super excited to try this leather couch.

Our coffee table, the Silver Hammered Metal Cala, is a fun piece! What I’ve learned with coffee tables is that people tend to rest their feet on it. This not only will be good for that but it has storage underneath! Anytime I can use something for storage makes me so happy. This will be a good place to store our board games!

Our decorating inspiration for our home is farmhouse industrial. I draw upon my inner Johanna Gaines but we also love modern textures like metals and brick. This may not be our final light fixture but I’m certainly loving the vibe of Lonerock Floor Lamp.

Lastly, I’ve been looking for some unique coffee tables. I’m totally obsessed with this Devon Endcase Side Table. It is just so cool!

These are the main pieces I’m assembling for our living room! I can’t wait to show you all the pictures of the final room. Stay tuned for our bedroom inspiration on the blog!
