My Favorite Post-Wedding Essentials

5 of my favorite things

Wedding photographers, you know the feeling of being on your feet for a 10+ hour day. It’s amazing how quickly wedding days fly by but so do we! Not only are we on our feet, but also running around and climbing various objects to get creative shots. It took me a while to develop a post-wedding routine to recover quickly from a wedding and feel refreshed so I could shoot another one the next day. I am going to share with you some of my FAVORITE post-wedding essentials! Ready, here we go!!

When I get home from a wedding, the first thing I do is to eat some dinner. I eat dinner at my weddings, but for some reason, I am always starving when I get home. Does this happen to you too?! After dinner, I love taking a hot bubble bath. This is a time for me to relax after an exciting wedding day! My all-time favorite bath accessory is Pacha’s Honey Almond Bath Bomb. This bath bomb makes my skin feel SO soft. But the reason why I love this bath bomb is that it also lasts the entire bath!! I’m totally obsessed! It also smells amazing! I normally purchase these at my local Whole Foods.

After my bath with my amazing honey almond bath bombs, I use Skin Foodie’s Herbal Therapy Lotion. You guys, this is the key to fixing sore, swollen muscles! If I could bathe in this lotion, I totally would! It is seriously the best post-wedding essential hack. Skin Foodie’s products are all-natural and they seriously work! The Herbal Therapy just alleviates all of the soreness and you can just feel it working. You must try this product!

Of course, you can forget fuzzy socks! Fuzzy socks just make me feel good and lock in the amazing Herbal Therapy Balm. It’s so important to take care of your feet because they work hard! LOL. I always wear my fuzzy socks and never forget to slip these on after a wedding day.

Now that I’m relaxed with my fuzzy socks, the perfect end to a wedding day is ice cream!! Everything is better with ice cream. Right?! My favorites are Fish Food from Ben and Jerry’s and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. But, I am not a picky ice cream eater. I will seriously eat any ice cream! What are your favorites?!

The last thing I indulge in after a wedding day is a hot cup of tea. I LOVE tea. I think I drink my body weight in tea every day. Hot tea just warms me up and makes me feel relaxed and refreshed. Some of my favorite post-wedding teas are Mint, Lavender Chamomille, and Vanilla Apricot.

I hope these post-wedding essentials help you after an exciting wedding day! Let me know if you have any questions or if you have any wedding essentials that work for you! I’d love to add them to my routine!
