Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend

Our Easter Weekend

Nashville, TN

This Easter, we went down to my parents in Nashville, TN. We were so excited to escape the cold, rainy Ohio weather and head down south for the holiday! My sister got a new puppy, a Frenchie named Arlo!! He is SO adorable! Wait until you see his ears! Anyways, my parents live off of 12th South Ave which is such a sweet part of town. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops, and markets! Everything is walking distance and so convenient!

On Easter morning we went to church and then came home for our family Easter egg hunt! Yes, we still LOVE our Easter egg hunts! Because we are older now, my parents make this hunt a challenge. An egg could be found in the corner of a closet or a cereal box. Needless to say, it took us awhile to find all of the eggs!! But it was SO much fun!!

After our egg hunt, my dad began to prepare our Easter meal. One thing about my family, we  LOVE to cook!! My dad made a Smoked Crown Roast of Pork, Wild Rice Fennel & Sausage Stuffing, Balsamic Glazed Roasted Carrots & Asparagus, and Potato Fennel Gratin! It was DELICIOUS! After dinner, we went down to Franklin, TN to have coffee with my Aunt and Uncle! It’s so nice when family is close, especially around the holiday time!

After coffee, we went back home and had dessert, Babbo’s Maple Syrup Mascarpone Cheesecakes. This is one of my FAVORITE desserts of all time. It is the perfect balance of savory and sweet! The rest of the night was spent watching movies and spending time with family!

We had such a fun time in Nashville! I had a bunch of photo sessions, we explored Belmont’s campus, and of course, attended Five Daughter’s Bakery (quite a few times LOL!). My favorite is their Maple Glazed Donut. It is SO good!! We can’t wait to get back down to Nashville, TN soon!
