Summer Wedding at the Brentwood Governor’s Club
Brentwood, Tennessee
Catherine and Nicolas met through one of Catherine’s best friends. Nicholas was living in Germany at the time, and when he came back into town to be at a wedding that Catherine’s friend was also attending and she convinced them to go together. Catherine and Nicholas met two nights prior to the wedding at a Trivia night, and really hit it off the whole weekend! Nicholas had to go back to Germany for three months, but they messaged once per day and started dating when he moved back to their hometown in Louisville, Kentucky. When it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be! And how amazing that these two were destined to meet at a wedding of all places!
And wait until you hear their engagement story, it’s just as amazing! You see, Nicholas proposed in Iceland! Catherine and Nicolas were hiking up next to a beautiful waterfall, and Nicholas said he had planned on making it to the top prior to proposing, however, according to him, the ring was getting “heavy” and he ended up pulling Catherine off to the side about halfway up and popped the question! His brother was able to capture some pictures of this special moment! Nicholas also had champagne waiting in the car for them all to enjoy after they hiked back down. Talk about an epic romantic proposal!
What started out at a wedding was soon to be the fate for these two. Catherine and Nicolas were married at the Brentwood Governor’s Club at Pleasant Hill Mansion in Brentwood, Tennessee. It was a gorgeous warm summer day, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. These two tied the knot in front of close family. It was such an intimate and love-filled ceremony.
The rest of the evening was spent celebrating the newlyweds outside on a gorgeous patio. The summer light filled the area and made for such a heartwarming evening full of a sweet first dance, wonderful toasts, and delicious cake.
