One of the sweetest memories Christmas brings is the traditional Christmas cookie baking! Growing up, every year we would help my Mama make our family favorites! One of which, included a passed down family recipe from my Grandma Mayrose, her Russian Tea Cookies. These cookies take a lot of patience but are oh so good when the sweet shortbread, covered in powdered sugar melts in your mouth. My Mama would always tell us to make these cookies as her mother had taught her, no bigger than a dime and to think good thoughts. Now that I make this family recipe myself, I now know that when you have to make cookies no bigger than a dime, it takes a lot of time! It’s so easy to make these cookies bigger and bigger each time, but they are beyond delicious when they are small and crunchy. I hope you enjoy this family recipe that has brought our family so much joy!
