3 Year Anniversary

3 Year Anniversary

The best is yet to come…

I can’t believe Musa and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary! Wow, where has the time gone?! It feels like yesterday we were standing in front of our friends and family, saying our vows. We have grown so much as individuals and in our marriage over the past 3 years. I truly believe that life is about growing. To be able to grow as an individual within marriage only makes our relationship stronger.

Marriage has been such an incredible adventure and I love every minute of it. Yes, even the figuring out life together and bumps in the road part. It truly is something that is such a gift.

I’ll never forget during our premarriage counseling when our mentors, who were the sweetest couple married for 50+ years, were describing their relationship and their love for one another. They said that at the beginning of their marriage, they called that “passionate puppy love.” But their love for one another now, 50 years and counting, was so deep and so profound, it was just a feeling of peaceful security, a forever kindred spirit, a Godly love. WOW, right?! When I heard that I couldn’t even wrap my mind around what that meant. But now, I’m starting to truly see marriage the way God intended us to live. It takes work from both people, lots of grace, and most importantly faith in God.

Over the past 3 years Musa and I have changed jobs, started my business, moved several times (including to another state), added another fur baby to the family, went back to school, bought our first home, and now we are going to become parents with our sweet Olivia Jane coming this December. Reflecting on these past years, it only fills me with overwhelming joy. These years with Musa have truly been some of the best of my life. I’m so thankful for the blessings, excited for what’s to come, but most importantly soaking up the moments of today, here and now.

Every year Musa and I have a tradition of renewing our vows to one another. I hope that our vows are not only sweet words we strive to live by but truly become our love legacy to our children. I hope they are able to see us role model a Godly marriage, every part, through all of lives trials and blessings.

BECCA’S VOWS

Musa, I am more in love with you now than I ever thought was possible. You hear married couples say that they just fall more in love over the years, but to actually experience that is truly overwhelming. You are my person, my incredible husband, and soon to be father to our children (you are going to be an amazing dad).

I love that you always strive to better yourself. I admire not only your driven work ethic but and passion for what you do. I am in awe that you have accomplished a 4-year degree BS program in a year and a half. I love your lightheartedness for life, you always make me laugh. I have the utmost respect for your faith and relationship with God. I adore the way you look at me, that you will grab my water bottle from across the room even when you just sat down, and always, always rub my feet (I truly appreciate that now more than ever). I cherish that you put our marriage and family first, even throughout the craziness of life.

I am so unbelievably thankful God chose you for me. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your dreams, and always put our marriage first. I’m so excited for this next chapter in our lives of becoming parents! I am so in love with you and we are only getting started, the best is yet to come. Love, Becca

MUSA’S VOWS

Dear Becca, Happy anniversary sweetheart! Crazy how time flies. We’ve come to learn and love so much about each other of the last 5 years. At the same time, I believe we’re only starting to scratch the surface. Like Bob and Lou said, this here is just puppy love. Love in its truest, most passionate fashion is only acheived with age, expereinces, triumphs and setbacks. I’m looking forwrd to spengint he rest of my life understanding and experiencing what and how a love like that truly feels. I love you more every day than the last. Thank you fo rloving me as passionately as you do. I know you would do anything in the world for me, as I would do the same for you. I cannot wait to raise Olivia with you. You’re going to be the best mother in the world (I know these things). With all the love in my heart, Musa
