10 Items To Include On Your Registry

10 Items To Include On Your Registry

Wedding Registry Musts

When Musa and I were adding items to our wedding registry, I will never forget Musa’s one request, a printer. Yes, a printer. He wanted some fancy laser jet printer that is typically used in offices! This thing is massive and heavy! I remember telling him, this is a wedding registry who is going to buy us a printer?! But, the funny thing is, someone did, and I now love this printer. It was an awesome gift and I will never forget the person who gave it to us! Finding items to register for can be SO much fun! Here are my top 10 musts I am SO glad I put on our registry!

1) Wedding China

I grew up using my mother’s and grandmother’s china. It was something that was always brought out around the holidays, for a special occasion, and of course, our tea parties growing up. I was on the fence about registering for wedding china of my own. I didn’t really think I would use it or need it. But now, I’m SO glad I registered for it! There’s something so nice about having fancy china to host dinner parties and holidays with. It’s something that I can one day pass down to my children and become a family heirloom. I registered for the Kate Spade Library Lane china, something that is timeless yet still special.

2) Bed Sheets & Mattress Cover

When it came to linens, I was only going to put one of everything, but my mom convinced me otherwise. I think I put down 6 sets of bed sheets. This was a lifesaver. When people come over to visit or when you just need to change out the sheets, it’s so nice to have extra sets of linens to go to. Also, mattress covers are LIFE! They make spills a breeze to clean and protect your mattress. After all, you sleep on your mattress EVERY DAY, it’s so nice to know that you can actually clean it!

3) A Panini Maker

Musa and I are huge foodies. When we received our panini maker for our wedding, we seriously ate paninis for a week straight. Yes, breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 7 days in a row! Ohh they are so good! This was something that we would have never bought ourselves but really is worth having. It elevated the everyday sandwich into something warm and delicious!

4) A Picnic Set

One of our dear friends gave us a picnic set for our gift. This was such a fun date night gift! Even using the set on our little patio outside of our apartment makes for a special evening! It’s also so fun to take the dogs to the park and have a little picnic!

5) Christmas Nativity/Decorations

Christmas decorations are also one of those things we’d never invest in ourselves. My Aunt bought us the Willow Tree Nativity set and it is GORGEOUS. It is something that is SO special and beautiful. We also received newly wed ornaments. Every holiday season it’s so special to reflect upon each little ornament that is making up our family!

6) Crock Pot

Okay, I don’t think I have enough space to write about how much I love my crockpot. When working full-time jobs, it is so hard to put a homemade meal on the table every night. And the answer is a crockpot. They are so easy to use. You throw all of the ingredients into them in the morning and when you come home, it’s like a chef has been cooking all day for you! The aroma in the house and the instant healthy meal is amazing. I love our All-Clad Crockpot. It’s worth every penny!

7) French Press & Coffee Grinder

For all the coffee lovers out there, you just can’t beat freshly ground and pressed coffee. Musa is a HUGE coffee drinker and this was such a neat gift. Besides a Nespresso, this is such an easy and classy gift! As a coffee fanatic, it comes down to the flavor and for us a french press was the way to go!

8) Luggage

I know this sounds weird, but when do you invest in a nice luggage set?! It’s expensive and you’d end up using a duffle bag to haul around the airports with. Having luggage on the registry was so neat. We remember every time we travel who gifted it to us and we have real luggage!

9)  Cooking Utensils

My first set of cooking utensils were bought at the dollar store. Over time they’ve melted and turned into little plastic spears! Having a good set of cooking utensils makes cooking SO much more enjoyable. They’re also so nice to display in our kitchen!

10) Something Personal To The Couple

Musa is from Azerbaijan. I was not only marrying into his family but into a culture, I knew nothing about. One of our dear family friends bought us our FAVORITE thing for our wedding, a cookbook. But not just any cookbook, an Azerbaijan cookbook. This book has been something I have used every week! Something I can cook for my in-laws and something to pass down to our children one day. It’s something simple, but SO personal to us.
