1 Year Anniversary

1 Year Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Musayev

August 27, 2016

I can’t believe that we have been married for one year! What an amazing first year of marriage it has been. We are so blessed to have such great friends and family to support us through this newlywed life. The most common question we get asked is if dating is different than marriage. The answer I always tell people is yes, it is completely different. When you are married, everything becomes more real. You don’t just think about yourself anymore, but have to consider another person in the equation. Your life becomes another, your family grows, your finances merge, your future holds the love and respect of two dreams. The present has a horizon of forever where you will have someone to witness your life with. It is different, but the good kind of different. It’s amazing.

Married life is definitely not easy! Our hardest obstacles are our finances and blending our two cultures. The most important thing is to put God first, then our marriage and everything else will follow. We never go to bed mad, we always sit down to work things out, and we respect each other above all else. We pray through the difficult times and rejoice in the good. It is such a gift that we both have our faith in God to lean on.

Our wedding day was not just a celebration but a vow to be 100% in this marriage for better and for worse. From the moment we turned around as a married couple, to our first meal together, that was the beginning of our life together.

For our one year anniversary, we decided to renew our vows! I can’t wait to share them with all of you!

Becca’s 1 Year Vows

Musa, Standing here today I am flooded with all the emotions I felt on our wedding day. I can’t believe we have been married a year because it feels like I’ve known you a lifetime. Talk about perfect love’s plan for us. You are such an amazing Godly man and provider for our family. You lift me up when I’m feeling down and always make me laugh. You strive to better yourself and strengthen your faith in God on a daily basis. You truly love and respect our unity. My love for you grows stronger every passing moment. Today, as we are reminded of the vows we made a year ago, I want you to know that you are my lover, companion, and friend throughout all of life’s trials and joys. I vow to stand by your side in this crazy thing called life. Musa, you are my once in a lifetime love, in you I have found my greatest and truest friend. And with that, you have my heart and my life. Love, Becca

Musa’s 1 Year Vows

It seems like just a couple months ago we were standing here, both nervous as could be getting ready to proclaim our covenant before God and family to be each other’s better half through better or worse, through sickness and in health. Now we’re back here a year later, sharing a bond that’s reinforced by an unshakable amount of love and respect for one another that only grows stronger with each passing day. This past year flew right before our eyes and through that, I finally came to grip with one of the most important lessons in life. Which is that time is limited and it waits for no one. Yet, still as important as time may be, there’s one other thing that’s more precious than our time, and that’s what we spend it on and who we spend it with. I want you to know that I’m so grateful to be the blessed man who gets to spend the rest of his life with the most incredible, beautiful woman I have ever met. You are my best friend, my love, my firm foundation. Believe me when I tell you that it’s in you that my soul found its true companion. Your curious mind excited me every day and there’s no place I’d rather be than walking hand-in-hand with you on this journey of our lives. You are my person – my love, my life, today and always. Love, Musa
